  • Ideal for sodium hypochlorite mixing systems.
  • Suitable for air and fluid applications in industrial settings.
  • Perfect for chemical processing, water treatment, and other applications requiring reliable check valve performance.
  • Softwash Metering Systems: Used in a Softwash mixing system to control the back flow of the water, SH and Surfactant lines
  • Spas and Swimming Pools: Ideal for preventing backflow in water circulation systems, ensuring clean and safe water.
  • Industrial Systems: Suitable for use in various industrial applications where backflow prevention is critical.
  • Irrigation Systems: Effective in maintaining the integrity of irrigation systems by preventing backflow.
  • General Plumbing: Versatile enough for use in general plumbing applications requiring a reliable check valve.

Benefits:

  • Durability: Robust construction with polypropylene, EPDM, and Hastelloy components ensures long-lasting performance.
  • Efficiency: High flow rate design optimizes fluid dynamics, reducing pressure loss and enhancing system efficiency.
  • Versatility: Compatible with a wide range of chemicals and fluids, providing flexibility in various industrial applications.
  • Reliability: Positive seal and responsive cracking pressure ensure dependable operation under various conditions.

Technical Specifications:

  • Material: Polypropylene
  • Connection: FNPT x MNPT
  • Size: 1/2"
  • Seal: EPDM
  • Spring: Hastelloy
  • Seat Area Open Diameter: 0.438"
  • Cracking Pressure: 7 psi

For use with 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite, a Polypropylene Check Valve with EPDM Seals and a Hastelloy spring would provide the best combination of corrosion resistance and reliability, especially in high-pressure and critical applications.

 Notes on check valves construction

  • With SS Spring: Suitable for high-pressure applications requiring precise backflow prevention but may suffer from corrosion over time when exposed to sodium hypochlorite.
  • With Hastelloy Spring: Ideal for high-pressure, highly corrosive environments requiring the utmost reliability and corrosion resistance,

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals. Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water. Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987. Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin.  The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.

The list of chemicals contains a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents. Listed chemicals may also be used in manufacturing and construction, or they may be byproducts of chemical processes, such as motor vehicle exhaust.  For more information visit www.p65warnings.ca.gov/
