    Soft Wash Metering  System

Discover the ProTool Soft Wash Metering System with Reel Stand. This is a robust solution designed to simplify and enhance your soft wash operations. Equipped with dual pumps capable of delivering 7.4 gallons per minute (GPM) at 60 PSI and 5 gpm+ at 90 PSI, this system ensures efficient and reliable performance to meet your soft washing needs.

The reel stand protects all the equipment inside the box frame and provides a nice convenient place for the delivery reel. The included aluminum reel and 200ft of 1/2in hose is pre-installed to fast track your setup time. This kit makes it easy to adapt the soft wash system to fit the needs of your rig!

Featuring metering valves, the ProTool Soft Wash Metering System offers full control over water, sodium hypochlorite (SH), and surfactant ratios, allowing for precise customization of your soft wash mixture. Whether you're tackling delicate surfaces or stubborn stains, this system empowers you to achieve optimal results with ease.

With 3/4-inch input and output plumbing, the ProTool Soft Wash Metering System maximizes flow to ensure consistent and effective distribution of your soft wash solution. This robust plumbing configuration enhances performance while minimizing downtime, allowing you to complete soft wash jobs efficiently.

    Key Highlights:

    • Dual 90 PSI pumps = 7.4 GPM of flow at typical 60 PSI spraying pressure. Provides 5gpm+ of soft wash mix through the reel, 200ft hose and spraying gun!
    • Three Metering valves for full control over water, SH and Surfactant lines.
    • Battery Cables 5ft 4 gauge Red and Black
    • Battery Box
    • The Reel Stand 19in High by 24 in Wide by 18in Deep
    • The Curb Side Reel Stand is 19in High by 23 wide and 18 deep
    • The Softwash Reel is Aluminum Reel with SS Swivel and 200 Feet of  1/2in spraying hose.

    * Electric Reel is an optional upgrade*

    Plumbed for MAX flow:

With 3/4 in plumbing, this system is ready to output 7.4 GPM at 60PSI to the reel.

    3/8" barb for surfactant/masking agent

    3/4" barb for SH line

    3/4" barb for water

    3/4" barb for output

    Backed by Dual Pumps:

Two pumps offer a combined 7.4 GPM at 60PSI to the reel.

Dual 12V pumps offer "limp mode" if one fails. That's 3.8 GPM at 60PSI IF you see a pump failure, compared to 100% when a single pump fails.

No down time = no headaches on the job and no upset customers when equipment fails.

12v Diaphragm Style Pumps offer different flow rates at certain PSI pressure
You control the flow volume you want by changing the tip size
A small tip generates more pressure, sort of like putting your thumb over a garden hose end, you get a higher pressure spray.

If you want more flow, more chemistry sprayed from the gun, increase your tip size.

At higher pressures a diaphragm pump will produce less flow., the sweet spot for this system is 55 to 65 PSI for great flow.

This system includes the two pumps you will need for soft washing and rinsing.
    You would need:
Storage Tanks and hoses for water and the input chemicals
Water + 3/4in Suction Hose from Water Tank to the Metering System
SH (sodium hypochlorite, bleach tank +3/4in Suction Hose from SH Tank to the Metering System
Surfactant (Could use 5 gallon Bucket) + 3/8in clear braid line from Surfactant tank to Metering System)

Mixing Setup - Metering Initial Setup

There is no exact science to where the valves are going to be set for your spraying needs. This will get you close to start and you will need to tune to your needs. The goal is to use as little sH and Surfactant as possible and still get a fast complete and well spread out spray that sticks to the surface from the wand.

The ratio is based upon the difference of the flow allowed by each of the metering valves, Water, SH Sodium Hypochlorite
the strength of the SH (12.5%, 10% Pool Bleach and 6% Retail Store Bleach in a bottle)

Adjust the Surfactant to use as little as possible,
but still see the sudsing action and mix spreading action on the sprayed surface

    When using 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite
For a 6% hot SH Mix, for very bad roof mold
    • The Water Valve is set to 10
    • The Bleach Valve is set to 10
    • The Surfactant is set t0 1 to 2
When Targeting a 3% SH mix using 12.5%
The settings will be similar to this:
    • The Water Valve is set to 10
    • The Bleach Valve is set to 4
    • The Surfactant is set t0 1 to 2
When targeting siding, fences, decks and other building surfaces a 1% to 2% mix is appropriate
Start with these settings to Target a 1.5% mix
    • The Water Valve is set to 10
    • The Bleach Valve is set to 2
    • The Surfactant is set t0 1 to 2
Note: These settings are not exact but a good starting point.
As the SH ages it will lose potency, so older bleach, pool bleach that will cause you toi increase the SH numbers

Note on Using store bought bleach

6% Retail Bleach or stale 12.5% SH or Stale 10% Pool Bleach where the contents have degraded to less potency.

If you are at 10 on the bleach and 10 on the water and feel you need a stronger mix review below

This can easily happen with store bought beach that was on the shelf for 6 months...

Turn the water down from 10 to 6 and see how the strength looks when spraying. Are you getting the browning action you wated...
You can continue to turn the Water down until you get a good browning and clean rinse.

Watch the mix spread out on the surface
if the mold is browning nicely (dying) and is rinsing clean
you want to use just enough to get a good clean, but not waste the SH.
So with good browning and a clean rinse you have enough SH in the mix,
You can adjust the SH down until the browning is slower than you would
like and then adjust back up for a good browning action.

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals. Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water. Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987. Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin.  The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.

The list of chemicals contains a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents. Listed chemicals may also be used in manufacturing and construction, or they may be byproducts of chemical processes, such as motor vehicle exhaust.  For more information visit www.p65warnings.ca.gov/
