What Is Gutter Butter?

Gutter Butter is a concentrated, biodegradable cleaner designed to remove oxidation and restore the appearance of exterior surfaces.

Despite the name, it isn't just for gutters. Gutter Butter can be used on:

  • Gutters
  • Vinyl siding
  • Metal roofs
  • Other compatible exterior surfaces

For professional exterior cleaners, this makes it a versatile product to keep on the truck for jobs where standard washing alone isn't getting the results you need.

See What a Difference Gutter Butter Makes

The customer photo above gives you a great side-by-side comparison. One section has been cleaned with Gutter Butter while the other remains untreated.

That visible line down the middle shows exactly why gutter brightening and oxidation removal can make such a big difference in the finished appearance of a property.

It's not always dirt making gutters and siding look dull or stained. Oxidation and weathering can leave surfaces looking aged even after a normal wash. Gutter Butter is designed to tackle that stubborn buildup and help bring back a cleaner, brighter appearance.

How to Use Gutter Butter

Application is simple:

  1. Pre-wet the surface and surrounding areas, paying special attention to windows.
  2. Dilute Gutter Butter based on the cleaning application.
  3. Apply using a low-pressure mist.
  4. Brush stubborn areas if necessary.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  6. Never allow the product to dry on the surface.

Gutter Butter can also be safely run through a pressure washer pump.

Suggested Dilutions

Gutter Brightening: 10:1 — approximately 17 oz. per gallon

Vinyl Siding Restoration: Start around 24 oz. per gallon and increase as needed.

Metal Roof Restoration: Start around 24 oz. per gallon and increase as needed.

Always start with the recommended dilution and adjust based on the surface and severity of the buildup.

Before You Start

Always test Gutter Butter on a small, inconspicuous area before cleaning the entire surface.

For best results, use it in temperatures above 50°F and always wear appropriate PPE, including gloves and eye protection.

Do not use Gutter Butter on polished aluminum. Use caution on stucco and Dryvit, as the product may cause a change in color.

Let the Results Speak for Themselves

When you're dealing with dingy gutters, oxidation, or exterior surfaces that need more than a standard wash, Gutter Butter can make the difference easy to see.

And in this case, you can literally draw a line between the before and after.
